1-877-915-7646DirectPointe, a leader in IT outsourcing services, today announced the acquisition of TechnologyWorks and its well-established client base. The acquisition expands DirectPointe’s national presence and provides a greater sales and support focus in the New England and Northern California regions.
TechnologyWorks was started in 2003 to manage the IT needs of small to mid-size businesses, specifically in the Boston and San Francisco markets. As an IT outsourcing company TechnologyWorks has established a strong reputation for quality of customer service and has partnerships with Dell, Microsoft and Linksys (division of Cisco) to provide clients with complete technology solutions.
“When looking at TechnologyWorks we saw a company that shared DirectPointe’s vision for making technology simple, manageable and affordable for small businesses,” said DirectPointe CEO Michael Proper. “We see this as a great opportunity to grow the company and increase DirectPointe’s presence in key markets on both the East Coast and the West Coast."
Current agreements for TechnologyWorks customers will remain in place, and each customer will have the opportunity to add new DirectPointe services. They will also have the option to add more extensive support that includes 24/7 phone, chat and e-mail support through DirectPointe’s Network Operations Center and DirectPointe eSupport, which, at the click of a button, instantly connects customers to a qualified DirectPointe support agent.
R. James Parsons, CEO of TechnologyWorks, said, “TechnologyWorks has experienced growth in large part through our commitment to our customers. We enter into the agreement with DirectPointe with full confidence that our customers will continue to receive outstanding service and have even greater access to new technologies and solutions. The DirectPointe model is the future for local and regional-based IT service providers to give enhanced service to their clients.”
Mirick O’Connell, a regional business law firm with multiple offices in Massachusetts, has worked with TechnologyWorks since its inception and is looking forward to the deal with DirectPointe. David E. Surprenant, managing partner, said, “TechnologyWorks has earned my trust over the years with great reliability and support, and we have referred them to many of our clients. With DirectPointe, we maintain that confidence and see the added potential of even greater service, new options and greater flexibility to supplement organizations that have some in-house IT resources.”
