Alan Taylor is the President and CEO of DirectPointe and is responsible for setting corporate strategy and aligning corporate resources to meet that strategy. Mr. Taylor brings more than twenty years of management and operating experience to his role as CEO. His prior experience was as the CFO of Helius, Inc. which was acquired by Hughes Network Systems. Mr. Taylor also served as the Director of Finance and Group Controller for the Product Development Organization at Novell, where he worked extensively in the product planning process. He has in-depth merger and acquisition experience combined with significant operational and international experience in finance and business development. Prior to Novell, he held analyst and senior level positions in finance and international business development with Boeing, Ford Motor Company, and Honeywell. Mr. Taylor received his Bachelor of Science in finance and an MBA from Brigham Young University.
Daniel R. Atkinson, VP Alliances and Marketing
Daniel Atkinson is a managing founder and Vice President of Alliances and Marketing. Mr. Atkinson has over twenty years of advancing sales, sales management, and executive experience in technology. He was most recently the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for HomeCase.com. He has also worked for Megahertz Corp., U.S. Robotics, Computer Associates, Compaq Computer, and Piracle. Mr. Atkinson has used his extensive experience to help develop DirectPointe's initial product and service offerings. He is responsible for developing and implementing DirectPointe's business development and marketing strategies.
Jonathan E. Nassar, VP of Sales
Jonathan Nassar serves in the capacity of Vice President of Sales and brings extensive experience in leading multiple organizations through sales and sales management, business development, marketing, product launch, and market analysis. His integral role while working in these capacities fostered environments of rapid growth and long-term sustainability. Mr. Nassar has a dynamic track record with software start-ups focusing on the first $0-$20M in sales with the strategy of being purchased or going IPO. Most recently, Mr. Nassar was the VP of World-Wide Sales with Vintela, a Canopy Company. Within twenty-three months of serving in this role, Vintela sold to Quest Software. He was also the VP of the Rocky Mountain Division with Center 7 – another Canopy Company. Prior to Center 7, Mr. Nassar was Managing Director for Securant Technologies, Inc. where he assisted largely in the sale of the company to RSA Security. Other notable management positions held by Mr. Nassar include Director of Telecommunications with Ask Jeeves, Inc., and Regional VP and Regional VP of Channel Accounts with Computer Associates International, Inc.
Lawton D. Smith, VP of Printing and Imaging
Lawton Smith has eleven years management experience in strategy, sales, service, and business development. Most recently he served as the President and CEO of System Technology Inc. (STI) located in Provo, Utah. Prior to merging with DirectPointe, STI and its dedicated staff concluded business activities with three consecutive Best of State Awards and a five year, eight-hundred percent net growth rate. Mr. Smith holds both APS and APC certifications for Printing and Imaging through Hewlett Packard and is responsible for the management, oversight, and strategic direction of DirectPointe’s managed printing services.
B. Craig Wilcox, VP of Professional Services
Craig Wilcox serves as the Vice President of Professional Services and has over fifteen years of IT Management experience. Mr. Wilcox is responsible for delivering superior technical solutions, productivity, and budget management and employee growth in a culture of sustained, world-class services organization. Mr. Wilcox directs a first-class professional services group, IT internal systems, technical steering committee, network group, and client training. He most recently created a professional services engagement methodology, implemented a virtualization platform that hosts servers and desktops, and restructured the professional service team to increase quality and overall implementation efficiencies. Prior to joining DirectPointe, Mr. Wilcox held positions with Novell (Novell Consultant), Meridian Business Services (Co-founder), MarketStar (ESS Business Manager & MarketStar/HP Strategic Advisor), and BrainStorm (Director of IT Training). He holds a Bachelor Degree in Psychology with a Business Management minor from Brigham Young University and a Masters Degree in Computer Information Systems from University of Phoenix.
Jeff Morrin, Chief Financial Officer
Jeff Morrin brings more than fourteen years of financial planning and analysis to his role as CFO. Prior to DirectPointe, Jeff was the CFO of APX Alarm, Inc., where he was able to build a strong finance and accounting team to support the company’s substantial growth during the three years he was there. Prior to APX Alarm, he held finance positions of increasing responsibility at InSight Health, Black & Decker, Multilink Technology Corp., Honeywell, and Ford Motor Company. Jeff’s various positions have afforded him the opportunity to work in capacities such as mergers & acquisitions, IPOs, corporate recapitalizations, budgeting, and analysis. Mr. Morrin received a Bachelor of Science in Finance and an MBA from Brigham Young University.
