Alan Taylor, President and CEO
Alan Taylor is responsible for setting corporate strategy and aligning corporate resources to meet that strategy. Together with the DirectPointe senior leadership team he is focused on delivering world class solutions to the market. His dedication to customer satisfaction and the thoughtful application of technology to solve business problems are keys to his success.
Mr. Taylor brings more than 20 years of management and operating experience to his role as CEO. His prior experience was as the CFO of Helius, Inc. which was acquired by Hughes Network Systems. Mr. Taylor also served as the Director of Finance and Group Controller for the Product Development Organization at Novell, where he worked extensively in the product planning process. He has in-depth merger and acquisition experience combined with significant operational and international experience in finance and business development. Prior to Novell, he held analyst and senior level positions in finance and international business development with Boeing, Ford Motor Company, and Honeywell. Mr. Taylor received his Bachelor of Science in finance and an MBA from Brigham Young University.
Michael K. Brown, VP Services and Technology
Michael Brown has over sixteen years experience in the Information Technology industry. He currently serves as the Vice President of Services and Technology with responsibilities for DirectPointe's managed security services, co-location services, internal development, security and support. Prior to joining DirectPointe, Mr. Brown worked for ten years for Satel, Inc., a Managed Security Services Provider (MSSP) offering security solutions and large software projects locally and internationally. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Anthropology from the University of Utah.
Daniel R. Atkinson, VP Sales and Marketing
Daniel Atkinson is a managing founder and Vice President of Sales. Mr. Atkinson has over 20 of advancing sales, sales management, and executive experience in technology. He was most recently the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for HomeCase.com. He has also worked for Megahertz Corp., U.S. Robotics, Computer Associates, Compaq Computer, and Piracle. Mr. Atkinson has used his extensive experience to help develop DirectPointe's initial product and service offerings. He is responsible for developing and implementing DirectPointe's business development and marketing strategies.
Lawton Smith, AVP of Printing and Imaging
Lawton Smith has eleven years management experience in strategy, sales, service, and business development. Most recently he served as the President and CEO of System Technology Inc. (STI) located in Provo, Utah. Prior to merging with DirectPointe, STI and its dedicated staff concluded business activities with three consecutive Best of State Awards and a five year, eight-hundred percent net growth rate. Mr. Smith holds both APS and APC certifications for Printing and Imaging through Hewlett Packard and is responsible for the management, oversight, and strategic direction of DirectPointe’s managed printing services.
Seth Bailey, AVP of Consumer Group
Seth Bailey serves as the Vice President of the Consumer Division where he brings his strong background in entrepreneurship and leadership to establish the Consumer Division’s position as the leader in the home/individual technology support sector. Prior to joining DirectPointe, Mr. Bailey was CEO of iTOK – a company he founded in 2004. While at iTOK, Mr. Bailey grew the company to fulfill the vision of creating a solution for broadband service providers to deliver premium technical support direct to individuals securely through the internet. Prior to iTOK, Mr. Bailey successfully built and sold a multi-million dollar company that he started in 1999. At the time of his exit, his business had over 100 employees, serviced thousands of clients per year, and doubled profitable revenue every year for five straight years.
Sean Miller, AVP of Consumer Business Development
Sean Miller serves as Vice President of Business Development for DirectPointe’s Consumer division. Mr. Miller brings 13 years of entrepreneurial-driven business development, sales and operations leadership – including three successful global ventures, to the DirectPointe team. Most recently, Mr. Miller was co-founder, Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President of Sales and Business Development at iTOK where he was integral in the development of iTOK’s cutting edge technology and business processes enabling iTOK to grow revenues 350% annually. Prior to founding, iTOK, Mr. Miller started, scaled and sold a nationwide sales organization with over 200 sales representatives and was a co-founder of an international Nutraceutical company, growing the venture from business concept to successful sale in two years.
B. Craig Wilcox, AVP of Support Services
Craig Wilcox has over fourteen years of IT Management experience. He serves as the Vice-President of Support Services. Mr. Wilcox is responsible for delivering superior customer satisfaction, productivity, budget management and employee growth in a culture of sustained world class support organization. In doing so, he oversees a 24-hour Network Operations Center, advanced tiers of technical support, network implementations, field services, account management, and client training. At DirectPointe, he most recently created an Implementation Engagement Methodology and restructured the implementation team to increase quality and overall implementation efficiencies. Prior to joining DirectPointe, he has held positions with Novell (Novell Consultant), Meridian Business Services (Co-founder), MarketStar (ESS Business Manager & MarketStar/HP Strategic Advisor), and BrainStorm (Director of IT Training). He holds a Bachelor Degree in Psychology with a Business Management minor from Brigham Young University and a Masters Degree in Computer Information Systems from University of Phoenix.
