Michael D. Proper, President & CEO

Michael Proper is the Founder, President, and Chief Executive Officer of DirectPointe. Mr. Proper founded DirectPointe with a vision and passion to make technology simple, manageable, and affordable. Over the past 14 years, he has helped start and grow numerous companies. Prior to founding DirectPointe, he helped launch and establish Veritas Solutions and Calculated Research & Technology where he facilitated the growth of annual revenues by over 950 percent over a 5 year period. Mr. Proper is responsible for establishing, directing, and executing DirectPointe's strategies and goal of providing a world class IT solution never before offered.

James M. Martinos, COO

James Martinos has over twenty years experience in the IT industry holding senior level positions with ProPay (COO), Microsoft (Financial Services Group Senior Manager), A.G Edwards (AVP and Officer of Technology Services), MasterCard (Director of Application Development), IBM (Technology Services Manager), Digital (Principal Architect), and GE (CAD/CAM Technologies Manager). Mr. Martinos has extensive experience in application development, systems management, contract management, sales and marketing, and systems integration initiatives. Most recently he founded and co-owned a senior-level consulting services firm in St. Louis, MO.

Michael Maxwell, Sr. VP of Sales, Marketing and Business Development

Mike Maxwell brings over 17 years of senior sales and marketing leadership to DirectPointe. His sales management career includes successfully leading teams selling enterprise software, hardware, managed services, and intellectual property. Prior to coming to DirectPointe, Mike spent 4 years at Symantec Corp. where he managed direct sales organizations serving commercial and public-sector customers. Maxwell arrived at Symantec through their acquisition of PowerQuest Corp, where he had developed and managed their OEM, Direct Sales, Business Development, and Channel organizations. Mr. Maxwell holds an MBA from the University of Utah and is excited to be a part of the DirectPointe team.

Justin M. Beck, VP Marketing and Products

Justin Beck focuses on the product development and weaving it into marketing models that work. Prior to DirectPointe, Mr. Beck was co-founder and CEO of Sweet Spot Solutions which was acquired by DirectPointe in 2007. At Sweet Spot, Mr. Beck brought the technology from concept to a marketable product and is listed as an inventor on several patents. Mr. Beck helped Sweet Spot achieve global exposure on every continent through marketing and PR. Mr. Beck worked five years with Sprint and generated multi-million dollar contracts with Fortune 500 clients. Mr. Beck also worked for five years with Eclipse Marketing Inc. where he helped Eclipse earn a place on the Inc 500 list of fastest growing companies two years in a row. Mr. Beck earned an MBA from the University of California, Irvine and a BA from Brigham Young University.

Curtis B. Blair, VP Channel and Partner Alliances

Curtis Blair serves as the Vice-President of Channel and Partner Alliances, having joined DirectPointe in 2006. He is responsible for the, tactics and programs to create interest, demand and recognition for DirectPointe and its products through the use of Channel Development, Online Marketing, Product Management and Strategic Relationships. Prior to joining DirectPointe, Mr. Blair served as the General Manager of Eggnesters, a leader in channel and lead generation activities for companies such as LowerMyBills.com and BankRate.com. Prior to that, Mr. Blair was the Director of Marketing at FILA Golf, a division of FILA Sport S.p.A. and as the Director of Sales at Marketing at Xavier Direct, a direct marketing firm which marketed investment training seminars for Investools and CNBC Online Investor Education.

Michael K. Brown, VP Information & Security

Michael Brown has over eleven years experience in the Information Technology industry. He currently serves as the Vice President of Information and Security with responsibilities for DirectPointe's managed security services, co-location services, internal development, and security. Prior to joining DirectPointe, Mr. Brown worked for ten years for Satel, Inc., a Managed Security Services Provider (MSSP) offering security solutions and large software projects locally and internationally. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Anthropology from the University of Utah.

Keith D. Carter, VP Finance

Keith Carter brings more than fifteen years experience in corporate finance and accounting with several leading technology companies. He has extensive experience in the preparation and analysis of financial statements, budgets, and cash flow forecasts. Prior to joining DirectPointe in 2002, Mr. Carter served as the Chief Financial Officer of the telecommunications division at IKON Office Solutions. He has experience in key management roles for Americom Technology, Megahertz Corporation, and Sigma Information Systems. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Accounting from Southern Utah University and an MBA Degree from Westminster College.

Wallace B. Randolph, VP Support Services

Wallace Randolph is a managing founder as well as the Vice President of Support Services. Mr. Randolph is responsible for ensuring the highest customer satisfaction and loyalty rates through delivering world-class support and service. In doing so, he oversees the Network Operations Center and advances tiers of technical support, network implementations, and training. He has over sixteen years experience in customer support and operations. Most recently, Mr. Randolph was the Director of Specialized Distribution for Nu Skin Enterprises; in this role he was responsible for developing and implementing many of the company's customer service and distribution programs.

Lawton Smith, VP of Printing & Imaging

Lawton Smith has eleven years management experience in strategy, sales, service, and business development. Most recently he served as the President and CEO of System Technology Inc. (STI) located in Provo, Utah. Prior to merging with DirectPointe, STI and its dedicated staff concluded business activities with three consecutive Best of State Awards and a five year, eight-hundred percent net growth rate. Mr. Smith holds both APS and APC certifications for Printing and Imaging through Hewlett Packard and is responsible for the management, oversight, and strategic direction of DirectPointe’s managed printing services.

Seth Bailey, VP of Consumer Group

Seth Bailey serves as the Vice President of the Consumer Division where he brings his strong background in entrepreneurship and leadership to establish the Consumer Division’s position as the leader in the home/individual technology support sector. Prior to joining DirectPointe, Mr. Bailey was CEO of iTOK – a company he founded in 2004. While at iTOK, Mr. Bailey grew the company to fulfill the vision of creating a solution for broadband service providers to deliver premium technical support direct to individuals securely through the internet. Prior to iTOK, Mr. Bailey successfully built and sold a multi-million dollar company that he started in 1999. At the time of his exit, his business had over 100 employees, serviced thousands of clients per year, and doubled profitable revenue every year for five straight years.

Sean Miller, VP of Consumer Business Development

Sean Miller serves as Vice President of Business Development for DirectPointe’s Consumer division. Mr. Miller brings 13 years of entrepreneurial-driven business development, sales and operations leadership – including three successful global ventures, to the DirectPointe team. Most recently, Mr. Miller was co-founder, Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President of Sales and Business Development at iTOK where he was integral in the development of iTOK’s cutting edge technology and business processes enabling iTOK to grow revenues 350% annually. Prior to founding, iTOK, Mr. Miller started, scaled and sold a nationwide sales organization with over 200 sales representatives and was a co-founder of an international Nutraceutical company, growing the venture from business concept to successful sale in two years.

Tim Brown, VP of Consumer Operations

Tim Brown has more than 18 years of experience across a variety of industries including telecommunications, financial services, and information technology. Prior to the iTOK acquisition, Mr. Brown was CTO, EVP of Engineering, and SVP of Operations at Mstar. While at Mstar, Mr. Brown led IPTV implementation on UTOPIA’s network, launched triple-play services on the iProvo network and built MSTAR’s business sales, internal customer care and engineering organizations. Prior to MSTAR, Mr. Brown worked for Diamond Management and Technology Consultants, a business strategy firm, where he created and executed strategies with businesses in the US and abroad, including AOL, Time Warner Cable, Visa USA, Visa International, and US Cellular.

Kenneth W. Jennings, Jr., Corporate Counsel

Ken Jennings specializes in technology licensing and business/legal models for high-tech enterprises. Mr. Jennings was formerly the General Counsel of TenFold, Inc., a publicly-traded company; Associate General Counsel for Novell, Inc.; and Asia-Pacific Division Counsel for Oracle Corporation. In his international career, Mr. Jennings has provided legal services related to joint ventures, licensing, and business structures for dozens of Fortune 500 companies. He holds a Juris Doctorate from Brigham Young University, a Bachelor of Arts from University of Washington, and passed the Bar Admissions at the Washington United States Tax Court.
