Inside Sales Associate

Contacts businesses to identify sales opportunities for DirectPointe. Sales Associates work closely with the Sales Manager to set appointments with qualified prospects by calling from targeted contact lists. Will assist the sales team in building the company's sales pipeline by performing the following duties:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Generate leads for new DirectPointe sales.
  • Calls local businesses to identify key contacts for sales opportunities and sets appointments for appropriate Sales Consultants.
  • Add contact information to the appropriate call lists to enhance the quality of the DirectPointe contact lists.
  • Achieve a minimum call volume as defined by the Sales Manager.
  • Schedule the minimum appointments required with prospects each month.
  • Ask a series of questions to analyze customer's needs to identify whether a business is a good prospect for DirectPointe's solutions.
  • If a business appears to be a qualified prospect, discuss the benefits of the DirectPointe solution to their business, and highlight the areas where DirectPointe can likely meets their requirements.
  • Keep an accurate log of activities and businesses contacted using the company’s CRM application.
  • Provide Weekly Activity reports (prospecting calls, conference calls, literature sent, proposals…)
  • Submit qualified leads with an overview of the prospects company size, contact information, type of business, current environment, existing pain, areas of interest, and other pertinent information.
  • Follow-up with field consultants regularly to discuss leads in the pipeline, and help the consultants move the leads along when needed.

  • Ability and initiative to undertake individual projects as well as work in a team environment.
  • Internet savvy with good knowledge of Internet space a strong plus.
  • Highly organized with excellent time management and prioritization skills.
  • Must thrive in fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Persistent but professional.

Education and/or Experience
High School education with some college preferred. Entry-level position. Typically needs additional training in skills to fulfill the responsibilities of the position.

Specialized Knowledge or Skills
Basic knowledge of PC operation. Must be able to efficiently use Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Must be persistent and professional on the phone with the ability to overcome objections. Professional appearance and presentation. Detail oriented.
