Senior Accountant

Assist VP of Finance in multiple tasks in the Accounting / Finance Department

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • General Accounting:
    • Run job-costing reports on every deal and conduct margin analysis
    • Assist in the month-end closing processes
    • GL Account reconciliations
    • Fixed Asset Management to include: physical audit, Quickbooks module tracking, depreciation reports
    • Procurement / Warehouse / Accounting Liaison - Troubleshoot issues, month-end reporting, drive physical inventory counts, enhance / define / enforce processes, ITEX tracking
    • Preparation of the annual property tax returns, to include internal and DPFS leased equipment
    • Monthly and quarterly preparation of sales tax returns (UT, CO, CA)
    • SalesPointe Commission tracking and reporting.
  • Accounts Receivable (Learn Role for Backup and Assistance):
    • Billing: responsible for client billing processes to ensure invoicing is done in an accurate and timely manner
    • Create tracking spreadsheets of monthly recurring invoicing, to ensure all invoicing is being completed
    • Collection: initiate calls and written correspondence to ensure timely payments from customers; follow up on missed payments; access finance charges; send monthly statements of delinquent accounts; ensure payments are received in a timely manner
    • Filing: maintain client files
    • Bank deposits: enter and apply payments in QuickBooks; handle bank deposits; maintain client and bank statement files
    • SOS billing and reconciliation – payment processing.
  • Accounts Payable (Learn Role for Backup and Assistance):
    • Understand and assist in the AP processes
    • Review and reconcile vendor accounts
    • Analyze expenses to find cost savings
    • Review AP bills and print checks
  • DirectPointe Financial Services (DPFS) Duties:
    • Set up client leased equipment in Quickbooks DPFS.
    • Set up and maintain client equipment lease files
    • Gain an understanding of the DPFS processes to be able to assist or fill in for Leasing Manager

Education and/or Experience
Bachelors Degree in Accounting and a minimum of three years experience in the field of Accounting.

Specialized Knowledge and Skills
The qualified candidate will display skills in Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel. Quickbooks and ACCTivate knowledge a plus. Attention to detail is a must.
